Guide

How to identify a sports card from a photo.

Start with the front and back image, then verify the exact set, year, card number, parallel, insert, autograph, and serial-number details.

1. Capture both sides

Use sharp photos of the front and back. The back often contains copyright year, set clues, card number, and manufacturer details.

2. Confirm the variant

Look for refractor finishes, color parallels, serial numbers, memorabilia windows, and autograph labels.

3. Match against sales

Use the exact identity before comparing prices. Similar-looking cards can have very different market values.
